Dear Enid Blyton,
I just finished reading Five go to Smugllers Top. I found the book really exciting and full of suspense. I was often amazed about what happened in the story. This is one of the best famous five books that I have read so far except that the end was not as exciting as the rest of the book.
What I like very much in this book is that Georgina manages to smuggle Timmy. I would also try to do the same if I had to leave my dog behind. The fact that Sooty and Uncle Quentin were kidnapped was also really thrilling. This was one of the most exciting parts of the mystery for me.
It is really a pity that the map of the catacombes that Sooty talked about was not found. Perhaps discovering the map would have made the story even more interesting. I also want to tell you that I really enjoyed the secret passages and the way you describe Mr. Block. He is such a strange and mysterious character. Did you ever meet these type of people or experience these type of things such as secret passages and catacombes?
I must tell you that wherever I have lived (India, Sri Lanka, Holland etc.) I have carried books written by you. I was always surprised to find out that other children in all these places also knew about your books.
Best Wishes and thank you for writing all these exciting books.
