This month we have been studying about the Cro Magnons, and we had to make a diorama of a cave of what the Cro Magnons used to live in. We were allowed to use a shoe box any way we liked. We also used paint and paper mache.

We used a shoe box the long way, and put a small hole for the entrance of the cave. There was papier mache on the top of the shoebox, and also on the inside and outside of the box. Inside we made cave paintings of animals the Cro Magnons must have haunted, and sprinkled dirt on the ground, and made a fire place. Also we added some stones and some tools they must have used. The cave was gray.

First we put papier mache on the box, and colored it gray. Then we sprinkled dirt, and used a cutter to cut out the entrance. The cave paintings were the hardest, making all the sketches accurate. We drew tigers, mammoths, rhinos and others. We used colors such as orange, red and yellow in our paintings.
