Animals and Hunting

The Celts mainly lived on farms. They worked in the fields and everyone was doing something at once. The women would cook and the men would hunt and catch the food. On the farm there lived oxen, cows, and pigs and many more animals. They would raise the animals and then kill them to eat. They also would hunt fish and game. They were never really hungry because there was always something for them to eat and drink. They mainly just drank water, wine, and beer. Once they had hunted the animals they would have a feast to celebrate what they caught. They also ate cheese, butter, milk, mead, and honey.They would separate the dinner from the lunch from the breakfast. The Celtic people were happy and they didn't move around at all. The men would use spears, tools such as metal axes, and wooden instruments to hunt things. They worked together when they hunted.

Amusement and Technology

The Celtic people pastimes included lots of different things, but one of their favourite was festivals. There was also hockey, chess, and other games which we play today but they were displayed in a different way then. The feasting habits of the Celtic people fascinated Greek and Roman observers, especially on those occasions when the dinner party could turn violent. Imagine if you were a person at a dinner party eating your dinner and all of a sudden somebody started fighting with someone else. They would become very drunk at the parties. The feasts would normally be in honour of a victory in battle and warriors could boast about their deeds.

I have found that the Celtic people normally held separate parties. Men would have their celebrations about somebody's victory and the women would have their feast about something that they had done. During the feasting, the people didn't appear to have good manners; they would eat with one knife, and then use their fingers for the rest. They would eat fish, meat, bread, and drink wine, milk, or beer and of course water,

The Celts had a different perspective on a lot of things and their technology was wonderful. They were always working on things. They had one of the biggest brains for their time and they always used them sensibly.They made their houses better than any of the other cultures . They made them with logs crossing our each other and then they had thatched roofs which stopped the rain from leaking through.
