Hanae's Report: The probability of getting a win is 50 percent. The probability of losing is also 50 percent.
Rules: Put your hand in the box.
Pick a card and see what colour it is.
If it's red you win and if it's blue you lose.
Materials: a cardboard box, a piece of material (paper or cloth), red and blue paper.
Design: The material on the hole of the box prevents the player from seeing the cards before they pull them out. The box contains the cards. The cards are red and blue and say "You Win" or "You Lose" depending on if it's red or blue.
Experimental Probability: Altogether 220 people played our game. 151 people won and 94 people lost. The probability of winning is 151/220 and the probability of losing is 94/220.
I think sometimes we forgot to shuffle and they might have peeked into the box. A lot of classes didn't come so we didn't have as many people as we thought we'd have.
How we worked together: We worked together quite well. We took turns in being the recorder and the person who helped the people play. The only thing was once you got used to a job it was hard to get used to the other one. Sometimes Akie went somewhere else and I had to take over. After a while the cover for the hole got very loose.
