[Grade 5 Projects]

Mathematics Project:
Chance Encounters Part 1

In this unit students studied ratio, percentage and probability by carrying out investigations into games and simulations. Students explored the mathematical comcepts of theoretical and experimental probability and finally designed their own probability games which were played by students in the Lower School (ages 3 to 11). Finally students analysed their results of their own games to see whether there was a connection between the mathematical and theoretical probability. A great time was had by the entire Lower School.
