I share my birthday with former US president George Bush and astronaut Neil Armstrong, the first man on the moon.

PERSONAL STATISTICS

My name is Ben. I come from England and I am 10 years old - or I was 3778 days on December 9th 1999. I was born on Saturday August 5th, 1989. I was born on a Waxing Crescent. (3.4 days before first quarter.) The fraction of the moon that showed was 0.193.

The U.S. president on the day I was born was George Bush. Historical figure Another person who shares my birthday is a person I bet you all know. His name is Neil Armstrong and his greatest accomplishment is being the first person to land on the moon. Entertainers. There are also singers that were born on the same date as me. Sammi Smith, Rick Derringer and Samantha Sang. Marilyn Monroe died on my birthday because of an overdose of sleeping pills!

EVENTS OCCURRING ON MY BIRTHDAY

Sports While I was being born in England, on the other side of the world in basketball, the Pistons won over the Lakers and in hockey the Calgary Flames defeated the Montreal Canadians. Entertainment-Music A event from singing which happened on my birthday was that the Beatles appeared in the Cavern Club in Liverpool for the last time, in 1963. Historical Events. Other events that happened on my birthday were that a U.S space probe was flying over Mars sending back photographs of the planet and data. Also the first telegraph cable was completed in 1858.

NOSTALGIA

Also in the year I was born there was a heat wave in England and in Europe I think. It was really hot. The prices of things then: A house cost $124.348.00 A car cost $8.243.00 Milk cost 2 dollars and 14 cents. Gas cost 1 dollar and 8 cents. A loaf of bread cost $1.29 and a stamp cost 25 cents.

The weights of my mum's children: Me (oldest): 10 pounds 8 ounces. Hannah (middle): 8 pounds 8 ounces Jonathan (youngest) 10 pounds 15 and a half ounces. He weighed more than me!

The year I was born, there was a terrible heatwave and drought in England and Thunderbirds were some of the most popular toys in Europe. In basketball, the Pistons beat the Lakers in the US. In science, the Mars probe sent back pictures of the planet for people to see.

Favorite Toys. This is just some leftover information that I got from my parents rather from the internet site. When I was young about 3 or 4 to be exact I used to play with things called Thunderbirds. They were toys. There were Thunderbirds 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. They were aircraft that rescued crashing planes and stuff. They were heroes of all time. I still have the videos of them.(and don't you go off thinking that I still watch them!) But then the toys were really hard to get hold of because suddenly everyone liked them and the company didn't make enough toys because they didn't think everyone would like them. So lots of people bought the few supplies and there weren't much left but my mum managed to get hold of Tracy island. (Which is where the Thunderbirds lived.)
