He was born in 1888, so he's exactly 100 years older than me. Historical figures. David Copperfield is my historical figure. He is a famous magician. He is 43 years old so that means that he was born in 1956. The recoding artist who was born on the same day as me, was B.B King. I've never heard about him, but my friends have. He was born in 1925. He used to write blues and harmonic music.

EVENTS OCCURRING ON MY BIRTHDAY

Historical Events. The historical events which happened on my birthday, were that Mexicans began their revolt against Spanish rule. That happened September 16, 1810. Also on that date, President Franklin Roosevelt signed into law the selective Training and Service Act, which set up the first peacetime military draft in U.S. History. That happened September 16th 1940. Entertainment--MusicMarc Bolan (T.Rex) also passed away this day in 1977 in a car accident. Bing Crosby died of a heart attack two days earlier. Both singers, strangely enough had recorded duets with David Bowie (at separate times) just a couple of months earlier.

Entertainment--MusicABBA begun their first North American tour in 1978. It took them 18 days to complete their tour. They both started and ended in Canada. They started their tour more than five yours after first hitting the top 10. Their biggest hits in the U.S. were; Dancing Queen, The Winner Takes it All, Waterloo and Take a Chance On Me. Entertainment--MoviesI found a movie which was popular in 1988. It's called Rainman. The stars in the movie were Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise. Tom Cruise is Charlie, and Dustin Hoffman is Raymond. After Charlie's dad's death, he thinks that he's going to inherit his dad's money. But after a while, he finds out that he has a autistic brother. He picks up his brother, so he can take him home. He does that so he can get his dad's inheritence. After a while he grows fond of his brother, and he finds out that the most important thing in life isn't money, it's to be happy.

EVENTS OCCURRING ON MY BIRTHDAY

Entertainment--TelevisionThere was also a very popular TV series that year. It was called; " Growing Pains" It was popular between 1985-1992. The stars in this serie, are; Kirt Cameron, Alan Thick, Jeremy Miller, Tracey Gold and Joanna Kerns. It's about a family who show the heartches of growing up in the world, about what's good and what's bad.

NOSTALGIA

In Norway in 1988, Gro Harlem Bruntland was the Prime Minister. It's quite unusual that a woman is the Prime Minister, but I'm sure that I've read the right facts. The king in the year I was born, was king Olav. We didn't have a queen that year, because she died. I don't know when. In that year, it cost about 3 50,- norwegian kroner to send a letter, ( About 1 guilder).

My favourite toys were; a brown little teddy bear which made sounds when you pressed on its stomach, a doll which was about the same size as me (when I was little of course.) I can still remember what it looked like. It had dark brown hair and eyes, and a pink and white dress.
