Hi, my name is Yoo Min. I was born on the 25th December 1988 in Korea, in other words, on Christmas. I'm 11 years old and 3932 days old when I found out on 1st of October. My name means "pretty, brave, comfortable, and clever". It's kind of a long name. I'm really proud of my name. The moon was a full moon on the day I was born. If it's very acurate, it's 3.1 days after the full moon.

Literary figures. There is a literary figure, who is called Carlos Castanda who was born on the same day as I--but in 1931. He is an anthropologist and an author. He comes from Brazil, and he published The teachings of Don Juan. His popular books were A seperate Reality and Tales of Power. I had never heard of him before I did this project. I don't think he's famous so much, but he's still a person who was born on the same day as I so that will make him famous.

A historical figure will be Sir Isaac Newton. He was born in 1621 25th of December. He's a scientist, and he's very famous because he discovered gravity. There is another person called Conrad Hilton who was born in 1887. He was the person who built the Hilton Hotels, but I had never heard about him. I've heard of the Hilton Hotel though. A singer and musician who was born in the same day as I--is Amy Grant. She is not so famous, but she is a good musician. She was born in 1949.

Historical Events. In 1758, there was a French and Indian War. I wouldn't like to have a war in my birthday. Well, but it was Christmas so everybody was happy and joyful. It was also Pilgram Christmas on 1621.

NOSTALGIA

In Korea we have a president. And when I was born Jun Du Hwan was the president. His vice president was No Tae Hoo. Now the president is Kim Dae and the vice president is Kim Jong. In the year I was born a stamp was $.25 in the US. A house was $123, 182, car was $7222, a carton of milk was $2.00 , bread cost $1.28, and gas cost $1.09 per gallon.

Favorite Toys. My mom said I played with teddy bears and I liked to draw and make things out of paper. She also said I didn't even play with dolls when I was young. That's surprising!

SUMMARY / EVALUATION

I got information for this project off the Internet. The site was called The Day I Was Born. I really enjoyed this project. I learned very much, and i did get a lot of information. I found this not easy but not hard either. I think it's really fun, and probably some other people could do this too! I recommend it!
