I Remember Theme Parks I Have Visited
by Davis

I'm going to tell you stories about the theme parks I've been to--starting with my first theme park I ever went to Disney World in Orlando. Florida. I went in 1994 because the World Cup was being played in Orlando near Disney World. My dad worked for a sports company at the time the World Cup was in Florida . My family and I all got to go to Disney World and stayed at a Disney resort.

We arrived in Orlando on a sunny and an intensly hot day at the Orlando airport. Then we checked into our hotel. My hotel was on the coast and in the hotel grounds there was an arcade, a restaurant and a huge swimming pool with a whirl pool and a gigantic chute slide. When we were in Florida the weather was sweltering. On the first day we went to Disney World I was too young to go on the "big boy" rides like Space Mountain so I had to go on the kiddie rides but they weren't so bad. The rides and the things I did were not all kiddie things. I did a shooting contest but lost, I went on Splash Mountain, went in a haunted house and we also went in a fake cave which scared my brother but didn't scare me. And my brother was afraid to go in the haunted house.

Some kiddie things I did were a stupid Dumbo ride , a fake jungle cruise and other kiddie rides. One thing I did was get my picture taken with Disney characters which was pretty cool.

On the day we went to MGM. On the third day we stayed at our hotel and went to the swimming pool. Later in the day we went to the Holland vs. Belgium in a soccer match. In the night we went to the Magic Kingdom and saw a Disney light parade which was really fun to watch and really cool. On the fourth day we went to Universal Studios and saw Mexico vs. Ireland in another soccer match. And then at night we went to Paradise Island where we played pool and partied. On the fifth day my dad took my brother and I to one of Disney's water parks "Typhoon Lagoon" and the after that we went back to the hotel and had a party in the dining hall where all the Disney characters came. The party was awesome. We had a band come but instead of dancing the other kids and I had a beach ball so we knocked it high in the air to each other. On the sixth day we left Orlando and went back home.

I also went to Disney World in 1992 but I remember nothin and I also went in 1996 and had a great time because it had lots of new rides and it was Disney World's 25th anniversary. Plus I got to go on the big boy rides.

Six Flags in Houston, Texas. was the second theme park I went to We went in the summer or 1995. My brother [ and I went to Houston together to see our Uncle and our Aunt. The day before we left we went to Six Flags. It was a sizzling hot day and it was the first time we had gone to a Six Flag's so we were very excited! It was a dreadfully hot Friday. We left the house and drove to Six Flags. My uncle didn't go because I think he gets sick if he goes on roller coasters. Six flags was right across from the AstroŐs stadium. We paid and went into the park. the first ride we saw was the Cyco so we went on it. The ride was a roller coaster. It looked old so I wasn't too keen about going on it but I still did. All three of us got in the cart and had the ride of our life. After the ride was over we got out of the cart and looked around for another ride.

We decided to go to the Looney Tunes part of the park and go on some kiddie rides after going on a big ride. I could go on the rides because I small enough but my brother couldn't [ha ha ha]. We went in a shop in the Looney Tunes place and bought some mugs for my family. After going on the simple rides we saw a ride with a huge line so we decided to go on it. The ride was a water ride. You got in this boat and went down a steep slop. When it was our turn we got in and went down but we didn't get as wet as planed. But there was a bridge on which you could stand and get hit by a huge wave produced by the ride so we got on the bridge and waited for the ride to make a huge wave. My aunt held me so the wave wouldn't knock me over. When the wave came the force of it was enormous. I'm so glad my aunt held me. Plus we all got soaked with water. After that we had a coke and played some gamble games but we lost. Then we were about to go on a water slide but we didn't. My brother went on a ride that goes in circles but I didn't because I regurgitate my cookies when I go on those kind of rides. And so my aunt stayed with me so I wouldn't go wondering off. After he did the ride we went in a shop looked around and then left with a big smile on our faces.

When I went to Universal Studios it was during our second visit to Disney World. I was so excited to go because I had seen lots of these cool signs for it. I'm not talking about the real Universal Studios in California but the one in Orlando , Florida. We went in the summer of 1995. My dad couldn't go because he had a meeting to go but my brother , my mom and I went..

Back to the Future was the first ride we went on there. We got in line which said to be a two hour wait but it was only one hour. On the way to the ride they had TV's telling you what you were going to do. When you get to the ride you get in the same looking time machine as in the movies of Back to the Future. After your in the machine the doors close and the ride begins. You don't go in the future or the past but in a weird place. The windshield is actually a screen but you can't tell. The ride is a simulation of the real thing so the car moves whenever you move on the screen. When the ride ended I felt kind of sick but I ignored it so I didnŐt feel so much like I was. We walked around and saw the Jaw's ride but it was closed so unfortunately we couldn't go on it. So instead we got in line for the King Kong ride and waited. We waited for 2 hours but then a voice came over a speaker and said that the ride had some technical difficulties. So we left the line and looked around for another ride. We didn't find a ride but a show a bout Nickelodeon a American TV station that we watched all the time. First they showed us about how to make gag which was cool but the rest of it was boring and stupid.

Then we went to a water place in the park. The place was called Fifle Goes West. They had water slides and things that would plain out get you wet. Since it was such a hot day we decided to go there. My mom didn't want to get wet for a reason I don't know. So my brother and I went. There was one really cool slide. My brother and I must have gone on it 4 or 5 times. We would get in line and then when we would get to the ride get to the top. Then you get in a small yellow raft and go down. You go in a tube and then end up at the bottom. There was a thing where if you stomp on a bottom and water would spray out. Then we had to go because we had a party to go to. So we said bye to Universal Studios hoping we would come back again.
