I lived in Yorba Linda, California when was very young. It was near Los Angeles, California, U.S.A. I didn't go to school at that time so most of what I remember was playing. I played a lot with my younger brother. Once, when I was three, I swallowed a dime, ten cents in American money. Another time my brother cracked his chin. This happened when my brother slipped on the tile and hit his chin. In Yorba Linda I lived in a one storey house in the neighborhood of Yorba Linda. In that neighborhood I had a lot of friends my age but my brother didn't (because he was only two), so I often had to play with him. Behind our house there was a park where we often played. We always tried to climb the fence and run down the flowered slope but we never succeeded.
Soon we moved to a house in a city called Orange, named after the oranges grown there. The few years I lived there were filled with happiness and I always think of them as the golden years. But good times always come to an end and soon we were informed that we had to move to Holland before going to England. We threw almost everything out before we moved.
We moved into a tiny house in Amstelveen on a street called De Zon. Here I realized my eyes were bad and I went for a checkup. We ordered glasses. I wasn't used to the space, the weather, or the school. I had no real friends there.
After third grade we were told to stay longer. My mother was upset because said she couldn't live in such a small place. So small in fact, that most of our things were still in boxes even though we had thrown things out! My parents looked everywhere for a house. Eventually they found one. Our new home is in a small village called Zwanenburg. This house is very big but is far from school and is right under the path of the planes landing at Schipol. Even though it was bigger, some of the things still had to go into boxes. Fourth grade was somewhat better than third grade.
Fifth grade is the best so far. I am learning a lot and have friends. Now the owner of our present house has sold it to somebody else so we are moving AGMN! !!!!! We are moving to an apartment near the Gelderlandplein on the twelfth floor. I've never lived in an apartment before.
