My Special Treasure

I was born in Stranraer, Scotland and I lived there for two months. I moved to New Zealand for two years and after that I went to the Cook Islands for 4-5 years. Then I moved here to the Netherlands.

When I moved to Amstelveen I found my treasure necklace with my little sister Amelia. Mum and Dad were in the garden and I asked who the necklace belonged to. My little sister said it was hers but it was mine. I found out when she wasn't around.

One of my Mums, friends gave it to me to prove that I was Scottish. Mum and Dad were there for an exchange with a guy called Wilson and Wilson was in New Zealand.

The necklace looks like bagpipes. It is real silver.

My special treasures are the letters which my best friends sent to me from England. Altogether there are eight letters (maybe I lost one or two letters) that they sent me in a year.

My pen pals names are William and Xavier. William is a boy whom I met where I lived and he is one year older than me. We used to play football a lot. The other friend, Xavier is a friend I made in my school.

The reason why the letters are my special treasures is that I can keep them for a long time unlike telephone calls and I think it's good to have a pen pal. My favourite letter that my friend William gave me was a birthday card. I was happy that he didn't forget my birthday!

My special treasure is also important to me because whenever I'm feeling down in the dumps I can read over my letters and it will make me feel good.

I got my special treasure from my grandparents. When we came to Holland I was six years old. My family and my grandparents, went to a music museum.

When we came out of the museum, we went into the gift shop of the museum. I found a lot of music boxes in all sizes. My grandparents said they would buy me one, so I stared at them. I payed no attention to the big ones because I liked little things .

I found a pink one with a bunny's picture and many other ones. I told my grandfather I wanted a bunny because I liked bunnies and pink. But when my grandfather was about to pay for it, I found a little kitty which was much nicer than the bunny, so I changed my mind and decided to get the kitty. On the way back home I played it so much, my parents got sick of hearing it.

I was born in the hospital G.B.M.C. The day I was born the hospital decided that they wanted to have a picture in the newspaper of some one that had recantly had a baby and they chose my mom. They told her that they wanted to have me in the picture as well. They thought it would be cute if I had a stuffed animal in my arms. So they told her to pick one out from the gift shop. My mom picked out a little rabbit. They took the picture of my mom holding me and me holding my rabbit.

My rabbit has lasted for ten years already except that he doesn't look new any more. Now there are a lot of loose threads. Right now he's lying on my bed as special as he could be.
