Building our House
Introduction:
In damp, low regions, houses are raised above the ground. Outer walls are made of bricks or wooden frames. Some roofs are flat but most are slanted. Slanted roofs are usually made of timber called footers.
Interior constructions include one floor, two walls, three windows and two doors. Floors may be made out of wooden boards or wooden carving. Most floors are made up of maple or oak. The wood may be finished off with wax shellac or varnish. Other floors have coverings such as linoleum or rubber, vinyl or asphalt tile. Most windows come from factories. Both doors and door frame are usually already made up.
Step By Step Instructions:
We used these kind of shapes with 22 different pieces of cardboard.
ten rectangles - 8 x 4cm.
two squares - 4 x 4 cm.
two equilateral triangles - 4 x 4 x 4cm.
8 pegs - 8.5x0.3 cm.
The first phase is to construct the main living area which you do by getting six the rectangles and matching them in pairs with tape so that the two smallest sides are touching.
Join the three pairs together horizontal- ly. Then add two squares at the ends of the center pair. Then fold the two squares and the end rectangle pairs and tape them all together so that you have a sort of box.

Then take the 2 triangles and put them on top of the square while the box has the open part up. After the triangles are on, pair up the four remaining rectangles in twos like before and after and lean the pairs on either side of the tdangles like a roof and tape it all together. Then finally make holes at the bottom of the house and put in the the 8 pegs
