Egypt is known as one of the oldest civilizations, Egypt is also mentioned
in the Bible and famous for it's pyramids, mummies, and also for it's
big part of the Nile. Egypt has had many wars for the last decade mainly
with Israel. The first war was about the Suez Canal and the Sinai Desert
which took place in the year 1948. The second war was the Sinai War which
occurred in the Sinai Desert where the Egyptians were trying to take over
Israel. The third war was the Six Day War which happened in 1967, it was
when Egypt closed the entrance to the Red Sea for vessels carrying goods
and especially oil to Israel. The next war was the 1974 called the Yom
Kippur war. In between the major wars there were many small border incidents,
terrorist attacks, and smuggling. Then after the wars, President Sadat
of Egypt decided to sign a peace agreement with Israel and ever since
the border between Israel and Egypt became quiet. The language now in
Egypt is Arabic.
