Hi, I'm flat Melissa. I got flat one day when I was swimming. You see, when I was swimming laps alone, somebody threw something on top of me. That only made me partially flat. But I was badly hurt, so I stayed in place for another couple of minutes. Guess what happened then--the person who threw the big thing jumped right on top of me. So now, here I am as flat Melissa.

Since I can, I'm going by mail to Fresno, California to see my cousin. Luckily, the doctor said that my flatness was only temporarily, so I would be able to go to school and not be humiliated by my classmates and other things like that. My cousin is one of the best swimmers I know.

Day 1

Well, here I am. In Fresno, California. Sara (my cousin) was very suprised to see me. FLAT. I got opened around 8:30 in the morning so I had a whole day with her today.

First, we had breakfast. I had only juice because I can't eat with my flat body. After breakfast, Sara had a swim meet. As I was watching from the bleachers, one of the timers got sick, so I had to fill in for her. When I timed Sara, she came in first! When she got out, she told me she and her team mates were very mad because the other team had a banner that said, "TCU's gonna stomp you!" But they were wrong. We beat Texas Christian University (TCU)'s team.

After the meet, the coach ran a study hall for the swimmers. But the two of us didn't have to go because volunteered to make posters for the swim team with a couple other swim members. For lunch, we went to the macaroni grill. It was my first time going there but it was great. We all love the bread there. Since there was a big meet coming up, Sara had to rest so I did also.

At 5:30, we were at the pool, so that they could stretch and warm up. They did that until 7:00, when the meet started. Our team (the good guys) won the meet!

We left the pool at 10:30. Actually I was asleep, so that is what I was told. They also said that we got back to the hotel at 11:30.

Day 2

They woke me up at 5am Texas time. I didn't want to, but I had to. After we were all packed, we signed-out, and cought our flight. I had to share a spot with the swim team. Holly, wanted me with her first, so I sat with her, but then Jessica wanted me with her, so I sat with her a while. But when we were landing,Sara wanted me with her so that she knew she didn't forget me. When we got home, we took showers (well, not really me) and wentto lunch. Since Sara wanted a new sterio, so we went to Best Buy to get it. After that, we saw scream 3. ]I couldn't watch it, but kids younger than me could.

When we got back to the dorm, Bethany (her roommate) and Sara had homework to do so they did it. We went to bed that night at 9:00.

Day 3

We woke up at 6:00am for exercises before the meet. We went to breakfast after the warmups. We had drama class, womens studies, and political science. During practice Sara was the last out of the pool. We went to bed early again because she had another early practice.

Well, my trip is over and my doctar called saying I had only 3 days left which is the amount of time it takes to get home. I will miss everybody here. Oh the mailman is coming, got to go. Bye!
