Grade 5 Paper Aeroplane Projects
In conjunction with their flight simulation project, the grade 5 students have
begun researching information on Inventors and their Inventions.
The class was divided into 4 groups, each researching an important
flight invention. They are:
Orville & Wilbur Wright - aeroplane,
Igor Sikorsky - helicopter,
Montgolfier Brothers - hot air balloon &
Robert H. Goddard - liquid fuel rocket.
In addition here are some photos of the students experimenting
with different designs of paper aeroplanes. We got the information from a
book written by a man called Ken Blackburn who holds the record for
the longest (time) flight of a paper aeroplane (18 seconds!).
