In Saoirse we also have a national flower. This flower is called Patusa. This flower is small but strong just like Saoirse. Patusa is small but very strong. It grows in the mountain side and when the rock and grit and dust fall on it it still stays alive and healthy. The people on the island usually grow Patusa in their back gardens for good luck. They believe that it is strong enough to fight the evil and protect them and their families.
