In Saoirse we have an elected leader and government. We chose this type of government so that all the people would have a say in running the country. The seat of government is in the capital city, called Britta. The leader of my country would need to have the following qualifications:

Well educated (economist)
Diplomatic
Sensitive
Skilled in management
Intelligent

Our leaders are called:

Prime Minister
Deputy Prime Minister
Ministers
Members of Parliament

We have a general election every 5 years, or sometimes earlier if the government loses a vote of confidence. All citizens over the age of 18 can vote, although voting is not compulsory. There are 3 political parties. They are called The Labour Party, The Democratic Party and The Communist Party. The Labour Party represents the working class people. The Democratic Party represents many people who want an elected government. The Communist Party wants the government to own everything. Weenforce the law by having a police force. They must be honest and fair and be respected by the people. We protect our people by applying the laws fairly and the people that break the laws will have a certain sentence which they will get if they are found guilty in court. The sentences will be given according to the law which is broken. Our country is protected from the outside enemies by our army and our air force. Because we are an island we also have a navy.

Our country has a postal service. It is called Saoirse Postal Service, S.P.S. for short. We have 3 different valued stamps. One of them equals 50 g, another equals 1.00 Don and the other equals 1.50 Don. Every stamp is black and has a dove's head on it which is white. The money in my country is called Dons and each Don is broken into 100 pieces and they become 100 gan. There are 2 Dons in every American dollar.
