A Natural Disaster

Typhoon Tyfoo

In the late Hours of the night typhoon Tyfoo Hit Manchester. Thousands woke up to the horrifying sounds of buildings falling and the terrible screams of the people that lay trapped underneath them. The tyfoon reached mark eight on the Richter Scale.

Hundreds of buildings tumbled down including Old Trafford, the Mayors House and the World Trade center. The mayor made a statement in front of the hall of justice this morning,

" It was a tragic typhoon. The Police department, Fire department, Military and the Ambulance Service worked all night to try to rescue trapped people from under the rubble, at least 48 people are dead and around 400 are believed to be still missing. Tyfoo also did a lot of damage to the city's dams. Part of Oxford had a flood alert this morning when Dam 4c developed a large crack in it and started to leak. At the moment the water is sixty-nine centimeters deep. If the dam gets any worse then we will be forced to evacuate houses in case the whole dam collapses. "

Newcastle Industry

In Newcastle there are all kinds of different industries. From Recycling to Making Plastic. At the moment the Company Plasto is working on different kinds of plastics. The plastic ranges from their new type of plastic called Hardeo Plastic to the old Black Plastic.

The Iron Ore Company called Metam which shapes the metal is trying to create a faster way to shape metal. Metam has recently started to work with another company called Valtex. Valtex takes the Iron Ore from the ground and ships it over to the Metam Company on Industry Island, either by boat to Pearls Harbor or over the Golden Bridge.

Ither ( Which owns all the countries gas stations ) is trying to build more petrol stations. So far there are only 5. Ither is having some problems with the government because M.P Mr.Peeter, the environmentalist, is arguing on the grounds that Ither sells Diesel which is against the law and his garages don't meet the proper standards.

The company "Westwards Water" is trying to build another desalination plant near London. There is already one desalination plant along the river Thems. The Plant desalinates around 100,000,000 liters of water a day.

Most of the Companies are not effected by their location excepted maybe for Metam because Valtex has to ship the Iron Ore over Baffin Bay. But the Environment is more important.

A company from another country wants to set up a manufacturing plant in London. They plan to transfer 1,000 employees along with their families to London. The people don't speak any English. Parliament has had a meeting and they have decided that they would accept as long as the plant didn't make things like plastic that pollutes the environment. For instance they can assemble cars and them sell them abroad.

Garbage

In Newcastle the law about disposing of garbage is that people may not litter. The fine for littering is five hundred pounds.

People will have to recycle all their rubbish. The recycle plant will be located in the industrial area. It will be able to recycle plastic, glass, tin and many other items.

In Newcastle all industry plants will have to be safe and they must not harm any of the environment, which means that the factories will have to be environmentally friendly. Also to ensure safety the industrial area is on another island called Industrial Island. The fact that the industry area is on another island should make the air cleaner, ground cleaner etc...

The natural resources that should be protected are Petroleum, Iron Ore and Uranium. These sights are going to be protected because they are important for the countries industry.

Birds

An endangered species of bird has been found on Industry Island. The industries want the birds to be moved to another island, and the environmentalists wish the birds to stay where they are and Industry Island to be turned into a nature reserve. Even though it is against the advice of the environmentalists I think that the birds will be safer in the Ever Green Nature Reserve because even after we turn Industry Island into a nature reserve the ground might still be filled with toxic waste.

Iron Ore

Iron Ore is one of Newcastle's most precious natural recourses. But now South Africa wants a part of Newcastle's supply of Iron Ore. They are willing to pay for it. Since I am the founder of the country the people have turned to me for advice. After a long time thinking about this I have made up my mind. I am willing to come to terms with this agreement as long as our company, Valtex, is responsible for getting the Iron Ore and transporting it from here to Africa. The reason I have chosen Valtex to handle this is because I know that Valtex will be able to handle this very well, and because I know that they won't do anything to damage the environment. Newcastle should be able to make quite a from of money of this deal.

Attention Mapmakers

Recent world events have changed the boundaries of several countries. Map makers now must create new world maps. I have to make sure that Newcastle will be included on the new maps. To try to make Newcastle on the new map Newcastle will be holding the 2002 world cup. Newcastle will also be working more abroad with selling things and buying.
