There are six banks on my island The Aph national bank which is Aphrodite National bank takes all the big business in etc. Then there the Aphy which is a local bank people go to get their pensions and to get paid from their bank. Then there is also Ashley Bank which is also a local bank near Saint Ashleigh, big town near Aph, You also have First Rodite that is in Rodite which is both a local and business bank. There are many other banks on my island in addition to these.

There is just one postal service on my island it is called The Aphrodite Mail and it serves all of the country and employees on the island. The Aphrodite mail goes all around the island. The post comes between 10 - 11 o'clock in the morning and is delivered once a day only.

There are many sports on my island such as volleyball, basketball, canoeing, water rafting, swimming, roller blading, running and many more they are played all year round. There are school teams for this and they play teams from Australia and New Zealand.

There are lots of different kinds of music. First, there is the tribal music which is played by the locals and native people. Then you have rock n roll, hip hop and "Back Street Boys" etc. My country has twenty movie theatres which show are sorts of films such as "Twister" and "Independence Day". it also has theatres which show all kinds of modern dancing and ballets.

The national holidays on my island are normally celebrated with festivals and parades There is a summer festival during the months of June and July and August. There are all kinds of different religions in my country. The language they speak on my island is Afranoa it is mostly spoken by the native people. The official language on the island is English.

On my island people communicate by telephone, fax, and e-mail. My island's newspaper is called "The Aphrodite Times" . We have radio and television as well. The radio stations are "Aphy National Radio" and "Kiss and Gold R.M" . The telephone company on my island is called "World Connection" and everyone on the island has a telephone. There are trams, trains, buses, cars, bicycle, railroads, and metro in order to help keep the pollution down. The capital on my island is called Aph and there is one big commercial harbor and many other harbors for fishermen and leisure boats. The commercial harbor is only for the big boats which trade with other countries such as New Zealand Australia, England , Thailand, and Malaysia. The major industries on my island are sugar, soap, gold, silver and sopper. The things which we export are diamonds, gold, silver, copper, bananas, and paddy rice.

On the island of Aphrodite there is all sorts of fashions and most of them are for teenagers. There is a lot of swim wear on the island because of all the sun and water and beaches. Aphrodite is a very casual and there are always new funky fashions coming in. For the evening people mostly wear short strapless dresses, iean skirts and knitted sweatshirts and crop tops. For business people there is long trousers with patterns or plain with no sleeves or buttoned down shirts. Then you have the wool dresses with a wool pull over and the wrap-around skirts will wrap around shirts. For men there are plenty of shirts, ties and pants for work and Safari clothes for casual wear. The green and browns are very in at the moment. Then there is the sporty look for teenagers as well as the funky fashion jeans, Umbro, Nike shoes, sweatshirts, sweat pants and track suits are also in fashion. Roller-blading is becoming a very popular sport now and many people are doing it as well as skate boarding. Shoes and accessories all add to the clothes and high shoes with a cut out heels and straps are now very hip. Doc Martians and Caterpillars are very good for footwear. Kickers are very good for the girls for school. Because they don't have to wear uniforms, the girls come to school with very fashionable clothes.

There is quite a bit of history to go with Aphrodite. Long ago when the island had only just begun there lived native people who hunted and cooked and cleaned for themselves. They didn't live in houses as we live in now. They had to defend themselves. They all lived together in communities and they never fought or had trouble like now. Then when the English took over everything changed. The native people were forced to live the way the English wanted them to. They hated it and many problems happened. Fighting began between both communities. Finally the English won and the natives were forced to become slaves in their own country. Finally a lady called Carley Donegan spoke up and was shot but afterwards all the native refused to work as slaves. The native won the next war and the English and the natives had to live they in peace.

Natalie H. was born on the 17th of December 1984. She is 12 years old. She moved to Holland from England when she was only 4 years old and began school at the International School of Amsterdam. She comes from Southampton, England. She loves sports such as basketball and volleyball. At the moment she is playing on the basketball team. She doesn't have any pets. Her favorite color is blue. She has a mother and a father and one big sister who is 14. Her homeroom teacher is called Mr. Spedding and she enjoys being in his class. She enjoys reading and writing at school and would like to become a journalist or a lawyer. Her best friends are Danielle who lives in Australia. In Holland her best friends are Heather, Carley, Nina, Hiromi , and Ashleigh (who now lives in Saint Maarten). In her free time she likes to watch TV. or go to the movies with her friends. "Geotopia" is just one of the fun things she likes to do while she is at school.
