One morning when we were having our breakfast and when the horse race was just about to start Eddie, my grandmother's friend, came running in and said "I bet on the horse called Senator and if I win I will give a car to you because I alreadly as one." Then in ten minutes the horses were warming up and where getting ready for the race. Then the horses went to their starting places. The signal went and the horses were off and Sentator was at the end. But at the last straight bit Senator ran past every other horses and won the race.

My mum and my Grandmother and Christine, my mum's sister and Deryn, also my mum's sister, and my Grandpop where so happy for my grandmother because she'd won a car. The type of car was a new Ford Laser. They were getting the car in the next few weeks. The news went to everyone we knew. That day was the best day for my grandmother for a very long time. My grandmother is very happy with her new car because she has always has to share a car with my Grandpop. Grandpop is not very happy with the car because he as to pay for the crashes.
