Music

Music was an important part of Ancient Greek civilization. Most of the combinations seem to have been monophonic. Melodies and rhythms in music were related to the speech inflections.

The ancient Greek musicians had two forms of stringed instrument. They believed that music represented the order and harmony of the universe. The ancient Greeks also believed the music had a lot of power over human emotions and that written in the various maids, scales, music would cause expected reactions.

Mythology

The mythology was fully developed in the 700's BC. The Greek Mythology has several different characters, the Greek gods resemble humans in form of show human feelings.

The Greeks believed that the god which chose the Mount Olympus, in a region of Greece called Thessaly as their home as their home. On Olympus, all the gods formed a society that ranked them in terms of authority which the gods came up with the three main domains which were the sky or heaven, the sea, and the earth.

The 12 gods were usually called the Olympians . Zeus, Hera, Hephaeaeastus, Athena, Apollo, Ares, Aphrodits, Hestia, Hermes, Demeter, and Poseidon.

There were many famous Greek Philosophers during the flowering of Greek civilization between 600 and 200 BC. Greek philosophy formed by basis of all later thoughtful in the western world.
