the Greek
houses were built only with bricks and some mud. In the towns
they were small but people built larger houses in the country.
Most of the houses didn't have so many furniture in them.
Men and Women The Greek
men often worked in farming, trade or army. In Athens, Greek
women could not buy their own home, but the men had to do
it. The little girls weren't allowed to go out of there house
very often.
The girls were told by their father whom they had
to marry, when they were married, the woman had to obey their
husbands, and to stay at home and work. It was very different
for men, they visited each other very often to eat and to drink.
