The climate in Mongolia is dry. In the summer the temperatures are maximum 30 degrees Celsius but in the winter the temperatures drop down to nearly 30 degrees below Celsius. In the North, near Russia, the summer is very cool and short. In September we will need some warm clothes for the night and some light clothes for the day time. The southern part of the country is a desert. Most of the other areas are grassland and in the very north there are some forests. In Mongolia we'll have to be very careful because the water can be unclean and not healthy to drink. Ninety percent of the people speak Kalkha Mongol and the rest speak Turkic, Kazak, Russian and other Mongol dialects . The national food in Mongolia is meat and cheese and they drink a lot of tea with butter and horse milk. The type of money we will need is called "Tugrik" and the major cities we will travel through are Moron and Bayanhorgor.
