Brazil

The official language of the country is Portuguese although there are other languages as well. The money used is called Brazilian "real". Brazil is a federal republic and the captial city is Brasilia. The president is Fernando Henrique Cardoso.

The vegetation is tropical rainforest and scrub lands. The only city we will travel through along our longitude is Manaus.

During September for out trip the lowest temperature is 8 degrees Celsius and the high is around 19 degrees. We will bring trousers, t-shirts sweatshirts and proper shoes.

It is recommended to have a yellow fever vaccination before coming to Brazil.
